What can Enterprise Architect 7.0 do?

One may wonder the difference between the two enterprise architects since both works for enterprise architecture.  But the user should never misinterpret one from the other. The real enterprise architect is a person that deals mainly on how business and the enterprise s IT assets could go in line. The other enterprise architect works just like that. Only that it is an application program that makes the business and information technology possible.

Enterprise Architect software is a great aid for enterprise architecture. It features a lot of functionalities helpful for creating the business concept, maintaining and developing the business status, and making competitive business reports.

There are a lot of Enterprise Architect software versions that came to the market but one of its latest versions is the Enterprise Architect 7.0. Here are some of the Enterprise Architect 7.0 features;

" Simple to use. Enterprise Architecture is a real tough job but with this application, creating models, tracking dependencies and model changes, controlling versions, comparing utility, and high-edged performance letting user view the project in its simplest.
" Template-enriched. One doesn t have to do the difficult manual creation of projects with many available templates. And they are all WYSIWYG. So, no need to worry about the possible output.
" Support for a lot of programming language. Enterprise Architect has support for generating and reversing the engineering of its source codes. Files made with this software can be used for C#, C++, Delphi, VB.NET, ActionScript, Java, PHP, and visual basic.
" Permits reverse engineering. Users can make their models with different programming languages compatible with Enterprise Architect 7.0 and visualize their work in an interesting figure.
" Supports MDA or Model Driven Architecture. User can create complicated programs in a very simple way. Even developing and editing templates are possible.

Loose Coupling And SOA Modelling

SOA presents a new modelling for business distributed applications.  It provides a
approach that is able to cross borders and limitations of many applications, systems
and platforms due to its loosely coupled integration solutions for unified workflows.  .
Because many organizations provide web services as part of their business, and
because different businesses use different applications across different platforms in
their transactions, the problem of integrating their business applications with
applications of other business partners, customers and clients has become a problem.
This makes SOA implementation in an organization an important step to becoming a
truly worldwide organization

Because the modelling of many business applications follows the linear process of
synchronous communication, there is always a possibility of failure in the workflow.
SOA modelling assumes that these errors will eventually occur and will make an
appropriate action to handle them.  Service, communication, and transaction
reliability, integrity, and security are all incorporated in the SOA.  This assures the
business and its clients and customers a service that is always available even if there
is a temporary disruption in the workflow process.

With SOA, the integration of web services that reside in different domains is made
more reliable and secure.  The modelling of SOA shows that even though these
applications and programs have their own boundaries of data encapsulation, they are
still able to cross boundaries and communicate, integrate and interoperate with other
applications that use them because of their loose coupling. This loose coupling of
services makes it easier for companies, consumers, clients and business partners to
update their components,

A Growing Trend in Six Sigma Green Belts

Businesses fork over thousands upon thousands of dollar just so they can hire the services of six sigma black belts without realizing that even the ones who hold green belts can actually carry out their implementations. Sure, black belts have more top notch qualifications, what with their being on top of the ladder and all, but the greatest thing about being a six sigma certified quality assurance specialist is that even at the green belt level, certain levels of quality and upheld and maintained. If companies actually thought about this then there certainly will be a lot more green belt holders in their very own ranks rather than outsource the experts.

In truth, some companies do provide six sigma green belt training to their employees, and such measures have proven great success in terms of phenomenal implementation results a fact that validates the effectiveness of such a concept. Additionally, these businesses have also experienced a substantial reduction in the overall costs of their project implementation due to the fact that they no longer have to hire six sigma black belts and bow down to their demands of a higher pay. If this continues, there will certainly be a lot more in house green belt training in most industry playing corporations, and will ensure that their levels of quality will always be maintained. At the same time, companies will be able to save on more resources which they can then put to another good use. And that is, as always, great news for everyone involved.

Getting to Know More about Podcasting

Podcasting is the process of creating audio or video digital files via Internet using a syndication download where in users receive new files automatically by subscribing through an RSS feeds.  The term Podcasting was derived from the combination of the words IPod and broadcasting.

You do not need to have an IPod in order to do podcasting.  Podcasting audio programs or music videos can be played using portable media players or use of personal computers.  As you choose the programs for download, you save them on your computer or ipod or mp3 player.

This new technology is considered as the most effective way of information broadcasting.  Podcasting is the new type of online media delivery.  Podcasters known as authors or hosts of podcast share their thoughts in audio format while subscribers are able to listen or decide the files to download on their audio player or computer at their own time.  It is created to be stored and played at a user’s convenience.

With podcasting, people are able to share ideas in different ways.  Podcasting is another means of spreading and disseminating information.  You can even include in your blog, a podcast that allows people to see your face, hear your voice and express yourself on audio or video.

This means you can create a show of your own.  You need to have a podcast software and a microphone to start podcasting.  Podcasting allows you to reach worldwide audience.  It is also the cheapest way for distributing information to people without necessarily paying high broadcasting airtime fees.

History in the making…

This week I am running an ITIL® Foundation course as all of our trainers are traveling the globe to run courses for other clients. It has been quite a while since I have done this last and it is great to be in touch with clients again!

I now remember again why our company is so special:
We don’t teach ITIL®.. we educate our clients about ITIL® Service Management. (see one of my blogs from last week or so).

And do you know why this is such a good thing? Our clients are ready for change! And this is very important, especially now that there is so much ‘noise’ around ITIL® version 3, APMG vs. EXIN/ISEB etc.
