The big picture: Collaborate with Brand Category Teams to analyze and interpret product inspection results, ensure consistency with specifications, identify suppliers with poor quality history, focus inspection team resources to increase inspection levels and drive continuous improvement to overall product quality.
Why it matters: Guarantee your company is evaluating designs and making recommendations for improvements to designs and technology to improve product quality and overall interactive and interface design.
Be smart: Oversee that your process enhances factory productivity, reduces cost, and improves product quality through the analysis and continued improvement of manufacturing methods, processes, equipment, tooling, material flow, and plant layout using Lean, Six Sigma and other improvement methodologies.
Between the lines: Secure that your strategy present information to your organization on the expected quality performance of new products with regards to production yields and quality concerns.
Meanwhile: Develop and manage strong strategic relationships with your key suppliers and business partners to reduce cost, compress project lifecycles, advance product quality and improve efficiencies.
Go deeper: Assure your group assists with interviewing, hiring, and training Engineering and Maintenance employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; and addressing complaints and resolving problems.

On the flip side: Promote the use of (internal) customer needed techniques for continuous improvement such as Lean, Six-Sigma, Poka-Yoke (Error Proofing), Measurement System Analysis, and Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (PFMEA).
The backdrop: Support new programs and plants as an expert in QMS standards, Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP), change management processes, Failure Mode Effects Analysis (FMEA), Internal Audit, Management Review, safe launch planning etc.
The bottom line: Establish that your operation identifies present and future capital needs to support new products and processes, improve process capability and reliability, reduce direct and indirect labor, reduce cycle time, improve product quality, and improve health, safety, and environmental elements.
What’s next: Develop new or modify existing methods to manufacture products ensuring that methods meet quality and production standards as well as health, safety, and environmental standards.
