The big picture: Make sure your company applies the principles of product quality planning, evaluation, and control in support of the manufacturing and installation operations of your organization.

Why it matters: Interface so that your organization is ensuring product quality and timeliness of work, providing advice and guidance, resolving problems to meet objectives, and providing periodic performance reports.

Go deeper: Make sure your strategy partners with Marketing, Operations, QA and the Supply Chain team to test product quality and identify areas for cost and quality improvement.

State of play: Track and manage the program budget to ensure all financial metrics are met, lead all cost reduction and margin improvement activity where required to meet targets.

Be smart: Participate in the Advanced Product Quality Planning activities to determine appropriate use of existing and new measurement systems during new tool or process design and startup.

Meanwhile: Interface so that your personnel acts as Quality Department liaison with the supplier to investigate quality problems and as a resource to the supplier pertaining to product quality.

Yes, but: Make sure your operation is involved in a disciplined Program Management environment based on logical program task sequencing and the mutual reliance of different functions represented on the team.

On the flip side: Support management in analyzing and implementing initiatives to improve overall performance test process and product quality to enhance the value for end users.

How it works: Make sure the Project Manager (PM) is responsible for in the effective Management of multiple projects through the Product Life Cycle, tracking the progress of projects and report the results.
