APQP 1 big thing: Coordinate, prepare and deliver progress updates to your (internal) customer on project management activities.

The big picture: Lead Quality activities that identify root cause and drive effective corrective action with various functional groups across the organization including R and D, Fabrication, Production, and Distribution targeted to improve the consumer involvement as measured by warranty claim performance.

Why it matters: Support the design of an improved approach to Capability Delivery, using modeling as a tool for capturing system knowledge and requirements decomposition, developing a lifecycle model to enable responsive capability deployment, refactor key subsystems to enable external developers and reduce system impact of software changes, while using automated test to increase product quality confidence and reduce regression test efforts.

How it works: Review and evaluate designs and project activities for compliance with (internal) customer use cases, end-end workflows, industry deployments, guidelines and standards; provides tangible feedback to improve product quality and mitigate failure risk.

Meanwhile: Perform your organization needs in depth analysis and problem determination/resolution as it relates to trends in areas as Back up, incidents, change orders and system metrics including capacity planning.

Go deeper: Verify that your workforce is responsible for applicable systems related to plant (internal) customer issues as corrective action requests, supplier corrective action requests, nonconforming material reports, etc.

State of play: Secure that your company designs and analyzes inspection and testing processes, mechanisms and equipment; conducts product quality tests, performs statistical analysis to assess products or materials that do not meet required standards and specifications.

The backdrop: Be confident that your group reviews and evaluates designs and project activities for compliance with interactive and interface design and development guidelines and standards; provides tangible feedback to improve product quality and interactive and interface design.

Between the lines: Be sure your staff is ensuring that the timing of the product launch is respected and support for the entire duration of the programme.

What we’re hearing: “Make sure your process monitor and report on progress of the project to all stakeholders by presenting reports defining project progress, problems and solutions., MI-Program Manager

What they’re saying: “Make headway so that your process prepares advanced quality planning documents and participates in quality planning activities; including FMEAs, Process Flow Diagrams, Control Charts, and Gage R and R and capability studies., Buyer

What to watch: Ensure strong leadership and team building skills are required to manage the Product Assurance team to ensure product quality goals are met, from early design through high-volume production and post-market assessment.

Under the hood: Secure that your strategy reviews and evaluates designs and project activities for compliance with development guidelines and standards; provides tangible feedback to improve product quality and mitigate failure risk.

Be smart: Ensure you deliver unique value by collaboratively and reactively solving (internal) customer problems, providing proactive support advice, contributing to product quality and enhancements and creating self-help assets to broadly reach more (internal) customers.

The bottom line: Make sure the Corporate Quality and Supplier Development Manager is responsible for your (internal) customers and suppliers product quality assurance and control activities.

What’s next: Develop and/or adapt inspection equipment to meet quality control standards, make suggestions with regard to procedures, standards and equipment to facilitate work and maintain product quality.

ICYMI: Safeguard that your workforce develops and establishes quality systems and procedures, inspection plans, quality performance trends, statistical plans, cost estimates and technical quality plans for proposals.
